Letterpress invitations

My hopes of being able to afford letterpress invites are quickly diminishing with each website I visit. Did anyone buy LP invites? How many and what was your cost, if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks!

No, but I feel your pain. Love letterpress but couldn’t justify the cost for something to be thrown away.

I did letterpress and yes, it cost me a pretty penny. Did I get a lot of compliments? Yes, but looking back, I may have changed my mind.

I did 75 Save the Dates in letterpress and it cost me roughly $800. My fiance thought I was absolutely nuts but I had the money for them.

I did my invites without the letterpress and saved me a big chunk of cash. For both, I went through a local graphic designer and she did a fantastic job. I ordered 100 invites for $1,500 WITHOUT the letterpress... with letterpress, it would have been over $2,000. Couldn't do it.

I’m not doing letterpress but I am doing engraved invitations. Mine are about $1700 for 150 invitations. That doesn’t include details card or envelopes or anything else.

I did, from etsy, about $800 for 125. Incl details and RSVP card. The actual invitation is large too, its a 9x5. So postage was 80 cents or so, a 2 ounce stamp. Paid another $400 for calligraphy.

I will say if you go this route, go all the way. A dear friend was invited to a wedding via letter press. There was no stamp on the RSVP, they did at least have calligraphy, but there was a hand written RSVP envelope. It overall looked thrown together.

Found minted to be a roughly similar price, but you may be able to catch a deal.

I did my save the dates in letterpress but can’t afford the invitation suite from that same company. I’d like to do matching invites, rsvp and thank you notes.

We looked at doing letterpress. For 80 invites it would have cost $1,300. We decided against it and spent $800.

We did letterpress and I found an amazing Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SmallPrinter?ref=l2-shopheader-name. The owner was great to work with, we had a lot of back and forth and he was quick to make changes I requested.

    We got all this:

    90 Invitations
100 Invitation envelopes -- printed return address

    100 Inner envelopes
    90 RSVP cards
90 response envelopes -- reply address printed
    90 map
25 inserts for the rehearsal dinner

For around $840. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. My favorite is the map!

We just did Letterpress invitations and they were amazing. We used a woman on Etsy. Her shop is called Sweetly Said Press. Quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else I looked. $1050 for 110 invitations, RSVP card, reception card, inner and outer envelopes. I highly recommend her!!
