Use a damp sponge!

My FH didn't want me licking envelopes because of that Seinfeld episode where George's fiancé dies because she was licking their envelopes for their wedding. Hope your taste buds recover swiftly!

I never thought about the damp sponge thing. Good idea! I'll try that, because I've only done like 10 and I'm over it. Lol. Really though. Disgusting.

I used a sponge, as advised above. It was easy and much faster. Plus, no tongue paper cuts. Aahhhh!

I never lick envelops after discovery the sponge technique. I worked in the business office doing mailing for the college that I attended for work study and they first turned me on to the sponge. Greatest idea ever.

I got the idea to use glue stick from this forum. It was super easy and effective and it saved my tastebuds.

Use a sealer. You can get them at Staples or a dollar store.

They make envelope moisteners that have a little adhesive as well. I use it at work all the time.

We should have used a sponge. But we didn't. It was nasty !!!

Ew just use water, I never lick them

I licked all the 70+ for our std's and didn't have a problem.
