Licking Envelopes-- YUCK!

Oh my goodness. I clearly did not put enough thought into purchasing stickers to seal our STD envelopes, and they should have already been sent out weeks ago. (Also my fault.) So let's all say a prayer for my tastebuds because these envelopes taste disgusting! Lol. Grosssssss.

Ick! Agreed with the previous people who've suggested a damp sponge, sooo much easier!

I used a rung out, wet paper towel and blotted it.

I used an envelope moistener for STD's and it was such a life saver. Definitely a first world problem.

Office max or staples will sell envelope sealers. It's like a damp sponge pen.

I ordered envelope seals for invitations, save the dates and for thank you cards. i hadn't really thought much of the licking part but more so because it was another inexpensive way to dress up my envelopes. I love them.

I'm with @Juli - I definitely thought of the Seinfeld episode Smiley smile

We ordered our invitations and STDs from Smock and they included an envelope moistener for free with each of our orders! It worked great and we didn't have to lick any of them!

I never lick envelopes. Use a sponge. It's not just the taste or possible paper cuts either. I know a couple people who work or worked in envelope factories. They have all said to never lick envelpoes. The machine that puts the adhesive on isn't the cleanest and dust and dirt always fall onto the adhesive. So, all that is getting in your tongue every time.
