I've seen them in very few weddings. Do you guys think it would be a word thing to have?

IMO it's always weird to see one, no matter what the occasion.

I was at a wedding where the sister of the bride's husband was deployed with the Navy. She was a bridesmaid and they surprised her with a cardboard cutout of her hubby using a picture from their wedding day! It was super cute to see them dance together and we even took him in the photo booth with us girls later!

It made sense because he was deployed but I'm not sure if it's right for every occasion. She's one of my best friends and I'm not having cutouts of them since they are stationed in Japan and will miss the wedding...

A cut out of you two?!?!? I've never seen that!!!!!!

I think it would be a little bizarre. Does it mean you don't have to stop at EVERY table, though? If so, go for it! JK

I've never seen them at a wedding I've been to. The first time I had ever heard of using such a thing was on Four Weddings when one of the brides had them made and their guests used them as props to take pictures with at their photobooth. I was pretty weirded out. Why not take REAL pictures of you with your guests? I guess I just don't see the point.

If it was something like HopeRebecca, I think that would be really cute!

If it was of the couple.... that'd be a little odd....for me, at least.

For the photobooth ... i still think it'd be odd. why not just take an actual photo of your guests? you'll be like 10 feet away, not overseas like in the above examples

I've been to a wedding were they had one of the groom's brother who was deployed. It wasn't a cut out though, just a really big picture of him in a silly pose. They set it up at the front of the ceremony, and then set it up at the front of the head table for dinner. "He" danced with everybody. Lol
