I can't imagine riding alone. I can't imagine walking down the steps from the bridal suite alone. I think your FMIL is misinformed. This is a special moment that most definitely should be shared with your Mom and bridesmaids.

Unless your dress is so big there is no room in the limo for other people, lol don't ride alone.

Do it how you want. I would put whoever you want in the car with you.
