Linens how to transport

Kim, on August 28, 2018 at 11:01 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 2
Any good ideas out there? For those of you that purchased your own linens did you iron ahead of time and hang on hangers to transport? I’m not sure how to keep
them looking.nice

    Hey Kim! Great question!

For tablecloths, sashes, and runners, follow these directions:

    1. Iron on both sides and then lay each on a bed or large table.

    2. Place each on top of one another, staggering them approx. 1 inch from the edge of the previous linens so they don’t bunch when you roll them up.

    3. Cut a pool noodle, a PVC pipe, or a poster mailer down to the length of your linens.

    4. Roll the stack of table cloths onto the pool noodle, PVC pipe, or poster mailer. This will keep them wrinkle free!

    5. You can use plastic cling wrap on each side and in the middle to keep them all wrapped for transporting.

**For smaller linens, like napkins, you can do this same process or you can just iron them, keep them flat, and wrap them in plastic cling wrap.

When you go to transport them, the plastic cling wrap will help the dirt away. BUT my personal preference for transporting this type of thing would be to use some of those plastic containers with lids that you can buy at department stores! I usually clean them out first to make sure there is no dust or pet hair, wait for them to be completely dry, and then load in the linens. I just like to be extra careful with how dirty my car always is Smiley tongue

I used this website for reference but I can also personally vouch for this method from my years of helping my mom with food delivery! Hope you find this helpful!

Do you typically do one linen per pool noodle? If you do more than one typically how many do you roll per pool noodle?
