Has anyone heard and confirmed that purchasing linens is less expensive than buying them? Or even better are there an other NC brides-to-be that have purchased linens and would let me "rent" them from you? For me it was cheaper to buy than rent and I plan on selling mine after the wedding to regain some of my costs.

We bought ours before the wedding. We kept a few that were the right size for our dining room table, and sold all the rest after the wedding. It ended up being much less expensive than renting.

I bought from linentablecloth.com as well and have nothing negative to say, it would've been about the same to rent everything so we decided just to buy and resell.

Cheaper to rent plus they deliver/set up and pick up linens.

I bought from linentablecloth.com as well. It was about $9-$11 to rent them and I ended up paying a little over $6 each to buy them. And as others have mentioned, you can sell them after the wedding and recoup some of your money.

You can get swatches of their fabrics for only $1 each to help you pick your color, which I would recommend. They didn't look exactly the same on my computer monitor.

I got married a little over 2 years ago and our reception looked amazing with DIY linens! We chose the fabric and had round/rectangular tablecloths, chair covers, chair sashes, and napkins made. We had enough linens handmade to cover close to 200 guests. Our color scheme was white/turquoise/lime green. So if any couples out there would like to rent or buy, ask away Smiley smile We're leaning more towards selling our linens so if anyone is interested, please let me know. Here's a picture of part of the table setup.
