Lingerie Party Alternatives

Haylie, on June 3, 2021 at 5:40 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
Usually around where I’m from, it’s traditional at a bachelorette party to play a fun lingerie game, where each guest brings a piece of lingerie for the bride and the bride guesses who picked it out for her, etc.
However, the bride im friends with isn’t comfortable with that, mainly for the fact that she’s been on a weight loss journey and isn’t sure of her sizing or what would look good on her, which is perfectly fine!
But that leaves me wondering what I should do in place of this ? Every bachelorette party I’ve been to has had a lingerie game. I would like something sort of the same vibe, a little guessing game of gifts for her but I’m not sure of any alternatives?Any ideas ? Thank you !

Could you do like sexy accessories instead? Handcuffs? Blindfold? Massage oils? A garter? Chocolates? Anything that really goes with that theme could still be fun (and funny!)

Personally I would just skip any of that entirely. It's definitely region-specific because bachelorette parties are not normally gift-giving events where I'm from. They are just a fun hang-out with friends. The bridal shower is a gift giving event, and I feel like adding a 3rd (shower and wedding and bachelorette) is kind of a lot for guests.

You could give each guest 1 minute to draw a portrait of the couple and have the bride guess who drew it.

If the bride is having a shower, I'd definitely skip anything that asks guests to purchase something.
I, personally, loved making a wedding dress out of toilet paper. The bride got to be the judge.

Maybe you can think of what the bride likes?

for instance my bff LOVES board games like she has a whole library of it. so i would imagine if we did it where everyone brought some kind of game as a gift that would be cool to guess.

so maybe try something like that?

Take a look at Google for bachelorette party games. They are as simple as scavenger hunt type things to card games you can buy online. It depends on what you want.

First I'd ask the bride if she's even comfortable having intimate items included.

My friend had a 'make your own bouquet' table and it was a big hit! The hostess has all sorts of flowers and greenery for us to choose from, and a bunch of pretty vases, and we got to take them home! I've also been to one where they had a 'what's in your bag?' game. Everyone got a list of items and you checked off what you had in your bag that was on the list. The person with the most checks one a little prize. There's also a game where you split into teams and you have to create a wedding gown out of toilet paper and the bride picks the winner. This game is really fun, especially after having a few drinks lol Smiley xd

Because of varied religious backgrounds, lingerie is pretty much out around here. But this time of year, getting nice big beach towels is a fair substitute. Some are like poster art, some have sayings, old surfers, lots of high personality things to guess. I was familiar with lingerie parties, and punny or dirty t shirts, and skeptical of beach towels till I went to a cheap big lots and was amazed by the variety. Not a beachy place, lots of lake beaches. But you end up with everything from plain vanilla on, so easy to pick some funny quality to a person. And not personal to the receiver.

I second the accessory idea! Maybe a fun dice game, or card game. Or one of those little coupon book type things. Some other things (depending on the girl in particular and the relationship you have with her), one of those candle with the massage oil you can use once it melts, or something from a company like Pure Romance.
