Lingerie registry?

I definitely didn't. I only want household stuff, I'd feel so uncomfortable opening lingerie in front of my family and FH's family.

I am having a lingerie bridal shower and I listed Victoria Secret as one of the main places to shop. I also listed my regular registry as well.

I’ve never heard of registering for lingerie. I assumed you were having a lingerie shower at first but it sounds like you’re having a regular shower? If it’s a regular shower I think it’s weird that people would ask about lingerie. However if it is a lingerie shower, it’s weird to have your regular registry listed.

However, all the showers I’ve been too people never gave housewares always lingerie or robes, etc. even though the invitations didn’t say anything about lingerie shower. Personally, I just want some items for our home. I think lingerie showers can be kind of embarrassing. FH’s mom asked if I was going to want more personal items and I told her I didn’t really want a bunch of lingerie and even talking about lingerie with her period was kind of awkward...

Oh I guess it’s kind of a social group or regional thing then! I’ve only seen a lingerie gift a couple times just for fun, not registered for. I think if it’s typical, but you’re not into the lingerie thing, have the hosts spread the word to use the registry instead of doing lingerie. I think it’s a totally reasonable request!

Most people don't buy lingerie at a bridal shower?

I have never purchased lingerie for anyone for the bridal shower so this is odd to me too. Lingerie, in our circle is usually done as part of the bachelorette party/weekend festivities.

I'm not asking for lingerie, I don't need a bunch of women buying me lingerie haha I think sometimes people have lingerie showers but it's not as common anymore!

Frankly, I'm surprised by how many people are unfamiliar with lingerie being gifted at bridal showers. It is very traditional for at least a few people to gift the bride lingerie. It's not odd at all. Really, it all boils down to what you are comfortable with. My bridal shower will be small, intimate, all women and catered to just me. So, I will definitely be registering for a couple lingerie items and some small girls things (i.e. jewelry organizers). Other, larger items can be found on our joint wedding registry.

As others have said, I have never heard of people giving lingerie at a bridal shower. I wouldn’t want my fam to see that!

My bridal shower is Saturday and I asked for personal items ( lingerie, massage oils). I personally wouldn't want house hold items. I asked for things just for me.
