Lists of signs needed

CruzWin, on March 7, 2019 at 4:12 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 3 21
I’m going to diy our wedding signs. Does anyone have a list of wedding signs that are needed? I don’t want to forget one. Thank you.

There aren't really many (if any) that are needed. Signs are more of a decoration trend. I still plan to have them though, lol. Some to consider are: seating chart, menu, directions towards ceremony / reception, unplugged ceremony sign, bar sign, and guest book / gift table sign.

I had none. The seating chart was the only thing vaguely close to a sign.

There's nothing you really need to make a sign for - but a list of commonly created ones include:

Sign our Guestbook, Welcome signs, Dessert Table, Gift/Card Table, Bar Signs, Directions (dancing this way, ceremony that way, etc.) unplugged ceremony, in memory signs, menu, seating chart or escort card signage...

But if your party isn't confusing to navigate, most of these aren't necessary at all!

No signs for me. A seating chart is all I will be having.

We have 3: seating chart, guest book, cards and gifts. That's it.

Our officiant will make an unplugged announcement before starting the ceremony. And there's really only one entrance to our venue.

Unless your guests need to walk everywhere or parking is sparse, you shouldn't need much at all.

I’m doing a DW wedding with everything in one place but still including a Welcome sign so people know they’re in the right spot, and some display for escort cards/seating, and will probably have some “order of events” list set up by the bar so people know when things are scheduled.

I’m doing these: sign at the road so ppl know where to turn, welcome sign, memory candle sign, buffet labels, hashtag, and maybe one at the bar. our seating chart. And I’m putting reserved name tags on the ceremony chairs for my parents grandparents and siblings. Yes they will be assigned bc they’re all divorced and will fight.

I just watched a really helpful video from a wedding planner on youtube. She runs through what's needed and what's more optional which is super nice! Here's the link!

I didn't have any signs at all. Honestly, I think they are a waste of money

We are having a “Welcome to our forever” sign, a seating chart, a “Coffee Bar” sign MAYBE, and a little sign at our memory table.

I am in the process of making mine now! So far i have...

welcome sign to put by aisle, along with a no ugly crying sign to put with a basket of tissues, a please sign our canvas, a in memory sign, a puny sign for our donut desserts, and one for cards. I was also thinking of getting one for by the road but for some reason I think they have a generic one already there.. have to check on that lol and I was going to do one for all the food but I have decided to add the list of food onto one of the windows we are using for a seating chart and the cater company labels everything for us too! I am thinking about getting one for the bar too but we have not decided what kind of bar we are going to do yet (open bar or just beer and wine)

    I feel like that's!

I did just one 6 pane window where I could put all the info I wanted.
    Top left-- unplugged info
Top middle-- welcome with our names, date
Top right-- social media tagging info for reception
Bottom left and right- attendant names/ info
Bottom middle- no need to pick a side saying

Other than that I'll probably make some kind of sign to sit on our guest book (bench) that FH is building. And possibly a bar menu since we're just providing beer and wine and it'll probably be easier than the bartender repeating it a hundred times.

I agree, that nothing is necessarily "needed"

    My list (so far Smiley winking ) is;

Ceremony Schedule/ Bridal Party (not printing programs)

    Dinner Menu (not printing menus)

    Bar sign (listing available drinks)

    Dessert table sign

Guest book sign (we're doing a "leave us advice" rather than std guestbook so we want to explanation)

    Welcome Sign (at the Reception)

If its not already past your wedding I saw a sign I'm going to use for my open bar and it says "Alcohol! Because no good story started with eating a salad".... if it is indeed past your wedding then CONGRATULATIONS!!

I don't want to overdue it on the signs as many times its not a big deal. My venue thankfully is a private area and you can see the ceremony site from the reception hall (outdoor venue) and they have a golf cart shuttle from parking. I found a $5 white blank road sign on lowes website to put at the the end of the venue road, and write wedding this way on. We're renting a cards & gifts sign and a guestbook sign. I'm printing the reload instructions for the polaroid/fujifilm cameras we're using for the guest book and putting it into a dollar tree frame! other than that no table seating chart so just putting reserved on top of the picture table numbers we're doing for those select tables. Instead of a donut sign, we're putting a cute picture that matches our theme!
