Little bit Disney and Country

Mrs. Bennett2023, on September 3, 2021 at 8:28 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

When you can't choose between being a Disney princess or a Country girl!

How would you do both?

Disney Ceremony / Rustic reception ( or another option)

How to pick the perfect venue for both themes?

Would you say I need a Planner?

Well, Belle is kind of a country girl. If you want to use that as inspiration. You can have your venue in a barn, which is a rustic staple and have Disney favors or centerpieces like carriages lit with candles.

You could do just rustic with hints of disney. I know someone on here mentioned they were doing hidden Mickey’s as a subtle nod to Disney without being overwhelmed by it.

You could do hidden Mickeys , our table numbers have a Mickey head . Our escort cards will have a tiny Mickey as well. My fiancé is pretty country so he will be wearing his boots ☺️

A friend of my FH's had rustic lanterns on their tables, and they had disney character silhouettes on them like the pic below. to make it a little more rustic, you could put on like tree slices with greenery around it.

Little bit Disney and Country 1

I'm hearing "Country Princess"! I think combining the two would be beautiful. This picture is what I imagine in combining. It's like a rustic ballroom!

We are doing the hidden Mickeys! Our venue is a ballroom, but they also have an outdoor ceremony area that has more of a rustic feel. So what we are doing is having that rustic feel during the ceremony (since rustic and fall go together so well!). We are doing small touches of Disney everywhere, so hidden Mickeys on our cake, I have Mickeys for my bouquet, a Disney themed guestbook, and a few other little touches that I'm still working on for my Disney portion. My FH doesn't like Disney that much, so they have to be subtle and not in your face. But we are also incorporating some rustic fall themed things as well, such as choosing the sliced tree trunk pieces for our centerpieces to be on, we chose moody colors that go well with browns, our favors are cozy blankets with burlap ties, and we have some wood signs to give that rustic feel.
