Live cigar rollers for wedding reception?

I guess if that is what the guests are into. Most people I know wouldn't enjoy it or go near it.

Yeah I wouldn't spring this as a surprise. If all of the guests are into cigars that's cool though!

Its just for entertainment. I went to Cuba and it was everywhere. I don't smoke but I enjoyed watching them make it.

Is there an outdoor area to also smoke the cigars? If so I think it’d be fun!

This is only a good idea if your friend and their guests are interested in cigar rolling. I would absolutely not do this as a surprise...I know I would react badly if someone surprised me with anything to do with cigars, especially at my wedding. Ask your friend before proceeding.

Depends on your guests, but I went to a wedding last year that had one and it was a HUGE hit. If you have the budget I say go for it!

I went to a wedding once where this was a huge hit. Unfortunately, it was such a huge hit that everyone wound up outside and no one was on the dance floor.

FH is a non-drinker and big cigar smoker, so he's talked about getting a cigar roller, but this is my big concern. We might compromise and just have some cigars for people to take to go and smoke at the after party. I want him to have his vice since there will be plenty of mine, but I also don't want it to kill the vibe of our party and push everyone onto the beach.

I would leave if this was at a wedding I attended, unless it was extremely well ventilated and couldn't be smelled. Cigar smoke makes me feel sick.

The venue we have has a patio. We’re planning to have her inside and have the guests smoke outside. What I thought was cute is that they are branding cigar bands with the groom and brides picture that I chose.

This would go over very well for my wedding, I have been toying with the idea as well. FH is setting up whiskey & cigars outside the barn where we are getting married and super looking forward to it, but they are big cigar smokers. This is def a know your crowd type of thing.

They didn’t check my address and booked a roller in Los Angeles. The owner could care less that my husbands 55th birthday present was ruined leaving me no time to change directions. She said “oh well I’ll refund you”. I had 70 people and no entertainment. Buyer beware. Don’t hire a company that clearly doesn’t care about the details.
