Liverpool wedding

Antonia, on April 12, 2023 at 8:31 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

I'm getting married soon and my partner and I are both football lovers and we've come to the conclusion that we want to celebrate our wedding in Liverpool. We want to plan a trip somehow, because it's just an idea so far, but we love it. Any advice? + We will have quite a few guests (about 80) and there's a point with their arrival, what's the best way to organise it.

I think I'm confused. You're getting married in Liverpool in June/23? You would like to have 80 guests and it's a destination wedding? Are you in the UK or how far away do you all live?

How fun! Destination weddings can be tricky but as long as you don't mind if some of your nearest and dearest can't make it then go for it. Many of the English soccer teams allow weddings to be hosted at the actual stadium that might be a cool thing to look into. But if you can't bring everyone to Liverpool you can add some fun touches of Liverpool brought to you, like have your family and friends sign a personalized Liverpool jersey instead of guest book. You can name tables after players or places in Liverpool. Use the team colors in your color scheme play music associated with the team. Have a Liverpool themed cake or grooms cake. Etsy has some soccer themed wedding cake toppers. Have some English drinks on tap . Whatever you decide to do best of luck to you with your planning!

You can always get married in Liverpool with just you and your fiancé' and come back and have a big party that way its less stress trying to coordinate everyone's travel.

If the wedding date listed on your profile (June 12, 2023) is correct, I’m afraid that’s not really enough time to plan a destination wedding that guests will be able to make travel plans for. If you guys are really set on your date, an elopement (meaning only you, spouse, officiant, and 2 witnesses) in Liverpool and then a celebration of marriage back in the States afterwards would be best.
