Loan to for pay the wedding???

One friend told me to not deplete our savings account and get a loan to pay for the wedding then use monetary gifts to pay it off and use what we have originally saved for a down payment on a house. How are you paying for yours? What do you think? Ps. I love this site!

    There's always plenty of tips on here to help you guys cut costs on your wedding (like PSAs for Vistaprint, etc. for invites/thank yous/STDs), things that you can easily skip (favors, candy buffets, etc.) that will help you along the way too. You don't need the top of the line everything for your wedding. Good food, good drink, good music,good hosting, and you will be fine.
