My fiance proposed on January 26th 2019. This is my second marriage and we are paying for everything ourselves, so we're planning a longer than traditional engagement to allow ourselves to budget and save up slowly as opposed to going broke planning the wedding. We also both work over 40 hours a week and don't have a ton of time to devote to the planning

Our wedding date is 1/2/21, anyone else have a long engagement planned?

We decided to wait till 2021 because we want to finish college first! We chose September 18, 2021 because we graduate in May and this still gives us some time to save and purchase things throughout the summer. Im actually glad I have plenty of time to plan! Smiley smile

Our engagement will be a little over 2 years! We got engaged December 14th, 2018 and will get married in March of 2021. We are recent college grads and paying for everything ourselves while also buying a house, so the long engagement means we can save for our dream wedding. Smiley smile

I got engaged in December of 2017 and getting married in May of 2021. We are having a DW so we wanted to give ourselves enough time to plan & pay for what we wanted to do. My step-son is graduating this June and my son will be making his 1st Holy Communion next year so pushing it out to 2021 seemed the best option for us. By the time we get married we’ll be together almost 15 yrs so we are really not in a rush. So yeah we’ve had a long engagement!

My fiancé proposed to me on my birthday in March of 2019. Our wedding isn’t until May of 2021. 2020 wasn’t a good year for us because I’ll be graduating with my masters, my sister will be graduating with her bachelors, going on a cruise, and going to Europe. Planning a wedding takes a lot, so we agreed to use this year for planning.

My fiancé and I got engaged in April 2019 and are planning on getting married in August 2021. Gives us more time to plan what we really want without feeling stressed. Also letting us look at costs and not have it all come out of our banks at one point. But the biggest thing is that my fiancé was injured badly in a fire a few months ago and this allows us time for him to heal and feel able to do things he wants to do.

My fiancé proposed on December 30th, 2018 and our wedding date is July 10th, 2021. We decided on a long engagement because we are planning everything ourselves but we also live long distance at the moment. So we are in the process of looking for our forever home and moving in together. So with that happening at the moment we felt two years was the perfect amount of time to save and plan our wedding to be perfect and everything we ever wanted. Seems far away but time is already flying!! I like being able to know if something comes up I have the time to fix and change anything that must be fixed with out stressing about it!!❤️

Yes! We got engaged on 8/4/18 and are getting married on 10/10/2020 - so a little bit over 2 years. We know it will fly by though (already is... we've been engaged for 10 months!), so we're savoring it and planning slowly.

My fiancé proposed on New Years Day - January 1st 2019 - after that beautiful ball dropped. I started grad school a few days after that and wanted to get situated with classes first so we didn’t really start the venue tours until last month, but we plan to have a March 2021 wedding. I’ll be done with grad school in December 2020, so this will give us time to save and get our share of venues/vendors, but I also didn’t want to do homework and plan a wedding. We should be picking a date and venue in the next few weeks so I’m excited about that!! ☺️ But I am ok with being engaged for 2 years - it will fly by before I know it!

We’re getting married in 2021! We’ve been together for five years almost and decided to go ahead and get engaged because we’ve already been planning on getting married but both of us were completing Master’s programs. So now we’re waiting to tie the knot til 2021 because we both just graduated and have no money for a wedding haha. I am excited though- I think it’ll just give us longer to enjoy it and soak up our engagement and soak up the anticipation! Yay! So excited! ❤️

We are looking at having about 2 years in our engagement. We just got engaged and I am currently getting my masters degree so we are wanting to wait until I am either done or almost done with my degree. Excited to have so much time to plan but also wanting it to get here!

Our wedding is June 26th 2021. We decided to wait so long so that we can both have the wedding we want and be able to pay for everything ourselves. His parents also wanted him to wait a year after his brother gets married so they could help out financially.

He proposed on Sept, 13, 2018. I'm extending the engagement Mainly to save up. We're buying a house in a few weeks. I dont want to feel overwhelmed. Most of my friends and family live out of state.

My wedding is September 10th 2021, because I'm having foot surgery to repair torn muscles. An I'll be in recovery for 6 months, and we want to pay ahead since we have two kids. Dont want to over exert ourselfs.
