Any long engagement brides having a hard time with wanting to plan your whole wedding right now? Mine is a year and a half away at this point and if I could I would plan it all tomorrow lol. It's just too much fun!! I have to remind myself that I can't do a ton now (already have venues, color scheme, and initial guest list to be edited later). Anyone have suggestions on fun little things I can look at besides just filling my Pinterest board super full to keep me entertained?

I am in the same boat! I am currently in school as well and felt too far ahead but wanted to plan as much as possible on breaks. It is so much fun getting ideas from pinterest and I am planning to start my center pieces soon too! I will start dress shopping and ask my bridesmaids next month.

You and I are getting married a week a part so I feel your pain! I can't wait for everything to finally start coming together. Have you started your wedding registry yet? We haven't started ours, but I'm currently just weighing the options. Can't decide if we want to go with one place or have multiple registries.

I'm having so much fun planning everything too! I have my dress and we booked our venue (in-house catering) and band so far. We are looking at photographers because most in our area are already booking for 2019. It's definitely nice to book the big things this far out so you have your pick of vendors!

I had a year and a half engagement and my mom thought I was CRAZY for booking so much so fast... but I knew what I wanted and I locked in 2017 pricing which was great. Some of my vendors have increased since. It's also allowed me to just be engaged for a while. Focus on other things. It also has allowed me to spread out vendor payments which I love!!!!

I'm a February 2019 bride and I've already gotten the venue, photographer, caterer, videographer, and dress taken care of. Looking at flowers and cakes next.

Some days I'm super excited to be planning and others I just don't worry about anything...

We're having about a 19 month engagement and I would definitely recommend booking your vendors early. We booked the major ones within about 4 months and then took a break. The earlier you book, the more vendors are still available so you can choose your preferred option.

Leave details for closer to the time. Your tastes change, as do trends so don't rush into decor decisions.

I have already planned three weddings at this point with how many times I changed my mind. I'm happy to have started to plan that way I can look at a million options before I have to make a decision. I couldn't do this in 8-12 months.

I started booking right away. Literally viewed our venue the next day (A year as a half out) it was already their last weekend available. And I've just been keeping about 1-2 months ahead of schedule. I'm holding back on invites because I font want them out too soon. But otherwise I've been full steam ahead. I accrual paid off my DJ today because he offered a discount to do it this month. I've been able to fulfill my excitement and as everything gets closer and I find more to do that I forgot there's very little stress because it's not a huge pile.
