Looking for a reasonably priced day of wedding planner in Chicago area

I'm in Denver, so pricing may be different. The only day of ones I could find under $800 were on Facebook in a bridal group. They were typically girls still in college or ones first starting out or ones that just did it on the side.

I had a very hard time finding one in this price range. I wound up having an old coworker do the job, paid of coarse. I’m in Nashville so no real help, but the cost of living here is rising and wedding stuff is through the roof!
I found one on thumbtack for $500. I wasn’t super impressed but was going to book her except she was 3 hrs away and with a January wedding who knows what the weather would
be. I didn’t need her stuck and not able to get to me then I’d have no one to decorate or clean!
But check thumbtack and Facebook.

Honestly, pricing is mostly likely higher here (Chicago area can get extremely pricey)! Honestly, I would be okay with someone who is just starting out and has limited experience as long as they cared about making the wedding look nice. I have just been struggling to even find these people. I will keep looking through more bridal groups to see what I can find. Thank you for the response!

Agreed!... I spoke with a handful of event planners and they were all $2,000-$5,000 here in Chicago. And I literally just wanted a DAY OF coordinator. The cheapest I found was someone for $1,750 and he gave me $250 off b/c the venue recommended him.

I can't remember exactly how much she charged, but I think it's within your price range (i.e. I know I didn't pay $1,000 for her services!)
