Looking for galvanized steel buckets

Jenny, on April 20, 2013 at 5:43 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

I'm having an outdoor wedding. Seating consists of picnic tables under a shelter. I want to place wine on each table, and since it will be summer, need a way to keep it cold. I was thinking about buying galvanized steel buckets & filling them with ice and a bottle of wine. Anyone know where I can buy I bunch of these buckets for a good price?

Keep in mind that condensation on the outside of the buckets will wet whatever surface is below.

Thanks Ladies. I'll check out the save-on-crafts site and Joanns. Michael's too.

Angela C: I love the Pottery Barn ones but they're out of my price range. I might buy one for home use, though!

Nancy: Good point. I can set the buckets on a piece of cloth or some kind of platform to prevent everything from getting wet.

Try the paint department at Lowes for inexpensive metal buckets. Not galvanized (they will rust eventually) but might work for what you need.

I have had good lock with buckets from behrens. They make them for fa supply I think but they have all shapes and sizes and are pretty inexpensive. I ordered mine from amazon but they also carry them at my local orchard supply hardware. I would try garden supply stores or hardware stores too. I feel like the ones I saw for 'home decor' were much more expensive ( and they looked identical).
