Lose weight, loose engagement ring

Victoria, on October 12, 2017 at 1:56 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 11

I am 8 days out to my wedding. I have worked really hard to lose weight, and have succeeded...but in my fingers. My ring is loose. I haven't been wearing my ring because I don't want to lose it at work. Any recommendations on what I should do for the wedding? I don't think I have time to resize it ...

I think jewelry stores sell something called "ring guard" something you can attach to the ring to make it smaller. You can also remove it.

Agree with the beads. A lot of jewelers have them on hand and can get you set up in store. If you got your ring locally I would try there first. Congrats on the weight loss!

You can get plastic ring guards at Walmart, it comes with like 10 in a pack. It's clear and goes on the bottom your your ring under your finger. They're like $5 a pack or something in the jewelry section.

Where was your ring purchased? My FH got mine at Jared and with the warranty it was resized in house I had it back in 2 days. Although I know some shops have to ship the ring out. It wouldn't hurt to check!

My FH bought it online from someplace, so no warranty or resizing options (unless I paid for it). I bought the size adjuster from amazon you suggested. Thanks!

My DH got my engagement ring from Kay jewelers and it was great because they were sistered with Jared so all I had to do was take it there and they had it done in 3 hours.

I also have a local jeweler in the town I live in and was able to pay $20 to get it resized and pick up the same day only because I didn't want to drive to the next town to get it sized through Jared again when my previous one had broke

Yes, definitely the try the sizing beads! They're cos-effective and still look nice. You can always have it resized later if you're still losing weight, or because of timing, or costly. Good luck and congratulations!
