The only way to lose weight is consume less calories than you burn. Everyone is different in what helps them do that.

Lol well that’s the only way.... the main thing is keep exercising to keep weight down after you initially lose weight which will mainly come from changes in the food you eat and drinks (90% water). Get lots of sleep too and reduce stress. Good luck! Group exercise is fun. Or join a walking group in your local community

I would add to eating right and working out - stay hydrated! Drink as much water as you can throughout the day. It keeps your stomach fuller so you're hungry less and just in general proper hydration is really important for your body.

Find exercise that you enjoy and that isn't a chore to do. If I had to go jog around the neighborhood every day I would rarely exercise. But me and FH go to kickboxing classes at the gym 2-3 times a week and it's fun so I actually look forward to going.

I mean, you pretty much answered your own question! Smiley smile Anything that promises "fast, easy weight loss" is a quick fix and may do more damage than good. My suggestion (former personal training & certified nutritional consultant here, and married to a personal trainer/bodybuilder lol) is to find a workout routine you can stick to (something in your current level of fitness but with room for progression, something you enjoy doing, and something with plenty of variety) and a nutrition plan you can fit into your life (how much time you have each day to prep, how many meals a day you have time to eat, etc.). Also, consider an app like My Macros or MyFitnessPal to keep a journal of your food, exercise and measurements so you can see what's going on. For your fitness, whether that's at a gym or at home, that's totally personal preference.

For me, I'm currently following a few weight lifting based Beachbody programs (at home workouts - and no, I'm not a coach lol) but following the nutrition plan "Renaissance Periodization." Is it work? Absolutely. Do these things take time? Definitely. But if you make a strong plan early and stick to it, you'll not only get where you need to go, but you'll have lasting results.

The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories that you eat in a day. In order to know if you've done that you need to track and count your calories. An app like My Fitness Pal is great for this. To figure out what Your burning in a day check out this TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator. https://www.muscleforlife.com/tdee-calculator/ if you're trying to figure out body fat % just look online for images of women's body fat %. Or a 12 dollar fat caliper from Amazon to be exact. The article along with that online calculator is a very good read as well.
Once you've found out that number then decrease it by 20%. That's considered a "cut" to loose weight. With that number you'll be looking at losing about 2 lbs a week.
Remember, diet is the biggest part of loosing weight. If you toil away at the gym but eat like crap (or drink for that matter) you won't lose anything. You'll be stuck in an endless cycle and working your butt off for nothing. You can lose weight by just diet alone. But once you add the gym with this you can bring it off faster. 😊

Check out Beachbody on Demand - or if that is too pricey, check out portion control containers and free youtube workouts. Or if you have a Planet Fitness near you, they have free personal trainers and classes for members. I never recommend any meal plan or "diet" that cuts anything (like carbs) out of your daily diet, I only recommend eating smaller portions and in moderation.

People are really into doing Keto. You just have to be okay with eating a lot of meat and vegetables, and really cutting carbs. People drop weight by doing this and it goes fast. I can never stick to it because I'm not a big meat eater, but you might have better luck!

Look into Beachbody! Their workouts/meal plans together get killer results. I lost 20lbs over 10 months (because I wasn't super strict). If I was stricter I probably would have gotten the results even faster.
