Losing it!!!!

Our wedding date was set for October 2020.. we actually had to move it up to September because of personal reasons.. anyway even before the date change and having to move everything up, I’ve been telling this man that he needs to not play around and order my wedding band. I ordered his months ago. Our wedding is now 15 days away and guess who still hasn’t ordered a band 😒😒

He is currently on his bachelors trip and couldn’t be bothered which is irritating me further and keeps saying “we will go to a store to pick one when I get back” BUT my thing is I have huge hands and all the rings in stores are for standard hand sizes (I’m a freakin Size 10.5 !!!) the largest size most stores carry is 8 or 9 sooo we would still have to get something custom made and shipped and I don’t think that’s possible before 15 day. The jeweler who made my engagement ring said it would take him at least 3 -5 weeks for production before they ship 😩
Add on that I don’t wear diamonds for personal reasons so it’s not like I can just walk into a regular store and say he let me get this ring but with moissanite and in a size 10.5 by now-ish.. what the heck to do 😔 who gets married without a wedding band!!
I told him, I reminded him or let him tell it “I nagged” him so for him to drop the ball like this is beyond disappointing and upsetting. I know it’s just a material thing and there are other things to worry about but this could have all been avoided had he just listened to me months ago 😒😒😒😒 why don’t men listen?!!!

I’d be ordering my own ring ASAP. Even if it was a cheap one off amazon. Then you know you have one! It can always be replaced by a nice one

Girrrrl I would be furious. Is he just procrastinating, or is there maybe an issue with finances? If I were you, I’d go shopping on my own this weekend to see what options are available to you. I’d also look online- a lot of online stores can ship overnight to you

Girl!!! I agree with Emma! Just order yourself a cheap one for the day of that you can have for your ceremony that way you dont have to stress, that's so so frustrating! I'm sorry you're having to deal with that!!!

Is it possible that he’s ordered it and wants to surprise you or something?

I’d probably also just order myself one at this point. I almost did that with my engagement ring. We have pictures scheduled and he hadn’t gotten the ring. (To be fair, he was saving for one when I asked him to marry me and he wasn’t prepared.) I’d check with the local jewelry stores and then order one so you at least have one. And then have him order the one he actually wanted for you.

Why don’t you just order your own wedding band? I understand if you both agreed to picking each other’s but men procrastinate so much! Plus I’d want to pick my own

Yeah. I would do that at this point. FH and I ordered both our bands at the same time rather I did lol. Girl men are last minute and you need to know that for the sake of your marriage ha ha. FH Just ordered his suit this past weekend and we got less than 2 months to go because eh we had time -_-. That is how it is. You have a right to be upset but real talk you do not need him to buy your band. Buy your own and get the kind you want and put a rush order on it. I would check etsy too.

I would get it myself. I picked out my engagement ring and wedding band. My husband picked out his own wedding band.

I ordered my husband’s ring on Amazon for $19 about two weeks before. He got so many compliments on it, no one had any clue how inexpensive it was! They have really nice looking women’s bands too. I’d order one to use for now, and if you want to upgrade after the wedding when you have more time, so be it! Best wishes to you on your wedding!

I just left a jeweler at the mall, I think that’s exactly what I’m going to have to do. It is a diamond band and not a moisssanite but I’m not about to be picky ya this point

Agree with PPs - I'd order myself one just so that you have something for the ceremony and don't have to stress!
FH bought my band in June, but still hasn't insured it, and I keep reminding him. Sigh lol.

My man would do the same thing. I swear he thinks everything can be done the day before with this stuff. I agree, go on etsy and get something shipped as a stand in for the day. Then tell him that he has got to order you the real ring asap!

I’m also in a 10.5 when my fiancé ordered my ring in the store, we received the call to pick it up 5 days later. I think you’ll be fine!

Yeahhhh just order a cheap one on Amazon for the ceremony and switch it later on. I'm sorry this is happening, men really don't understand you can't plan a wedding in a short amount of time. Things need to be ordered, prepared, booked, etc way further in advance than they are capable of comprehending.

I’d definitely order your own but at this point you probably will have to go to the store and do it since its so close. Or you could just get a band to use for the wedding and then use your real one when it comes. I picked out my own wedding band and designed my engagement ring. The bright side is you have full control over picking what you like

My brother has been married for a year already and I'm not sure that he's ever upgraded his ring from the random one he had in his drawer somewhere because he never ordered one. 😵 There are a lot of men like this.

Order one on Amazon or Modgents, you can replace it later or maybe you'll end up liking it enough to keep 😊 Sorry you're dealing with this!

Thanks so much! Thanks to you lovely ladies, I was able to find a very decent temporary ring online from. I will hopefully get my permanent ring in October but at least I will have something for the day of! Thanks so much!!!!!!
