losing too much weight before my wedding next week!

sierra, on December 4, 2014 at 1:03 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 10

I've cut out sugar for a few weeks and lost more weight than I thought I would. I tried on my dress today and it's a size too big. I'm getting married next Friday. What should I do? Eat a cheeseburger? LOL

Try and relax. I was so stressed the month before my wedding I lost 10 lbs without changing anything! Luckily I had a corset back and could afford to tie it tighter Smiley winking can you get last minute alterations? What kind of back is it?

    It's a button up back :/

I wonder if there's a way to pin it?

You can't pin it. It will show and will probably fall out anyway. Get to a seamstress ASAP. I had to do this for a BM dress once. They did the alterations the day before the wedding. Have the dress taken in. You only get to do this once.

A full size? Definitely see if you can get it altered. You worked hard for that body you deserve to show it off!!

Congratulations on the weight loss! I would run to the seamstress first.minute I got. This is my fear. The bridal shop told me not to lose any more than 2 sizes. I've lost 10 lbs.already and there's no going back, I love my new lifestyle of eating clean and exercising. FH tells me that would be a sweet deal if I had to eat like a cow for my wedding dress to be right if I went and lost too much weight lol. If the seamstress can't help you, start eating pizza, bakery items.

I would suggest going to a seamstress ASAP. My dress is a button back also and at my last fitting I was told not to lose anymore weight this close to the wedding (28 days to go!). I have already lost 6 pounds since then so I may find myself in a similar situation!!

    Hope it all works out!

Why corsets are awesome!! Smiley winking

Also, why you don't get your dress altered too soon before the wedding. I found a seamstress that has rave reviews about altering wedding gowns within 2 weeks before the wedding (she assured me she can do it 2 weeks before as well), I plan on losing more weight that's why I want to wait to get it altered Smiley smile

I so don't get Bride to be's that get their dress altered a year in advance....its like why?
