Yes yes yes a thousand times yes! I have weeeiiigght to lose. I want to get down to my goal weight by the wedding I’m April. It’s tough work. I am an emotional eater. Always have been and when my grandma went into hospice I was so upset and depressed I didn’t eat at all and when she came home for hospice I ate everything in sight and then even more after she passed. I promised her I would get healthy. I am doing it for me, her, my fiancé even though he doesn’t care about that kinda stuff at all and for my health. I love working out so for me it’s 99.9 perfect eating 😂

    No.

I happen to be tiny, yes, but FH loves me for me, and that includes however I feel healthy/beautiful.

He made noises about wanting to lose weight, himself. I told him that I love him the way he is, but if he wants to be healthier, that's something we can tackle together. If he was doing it because he felt he HAD to, that was a different story.

I don't plan on losing weight so much as I just want to work out more to deal with the stress. My current stress relievers tend to be on the "coach potato" side. I know it will help me feel the best I can on the day.

FH and I started a lifestyle change about 3 months ago primarily for our wedding next month but we plan on continuing this forever. So far FH is down 34 lbs and I'm down 12 lbs, plus 3" lost on my waist, yay! We've completely changed our diet and now exercise 4-5 days a week. He says I'm perfect no matter what, I'm doing this for myself.

Nope. Everyone's always trying to say "be the best you that you can be" and frankly if I wasn't the best my fiance wouldn't have agreed to marry me.
Also short fast dieting (like what people do for weddings) has been shown to have relapse later and often cause a high net gain in weight. It's just not worth it after reading the science behind it. A permanent life style change is what keeps weight off.
We are hoping to get better at cooking home meals vs ordering out though.

I committed to working out again 5-6 days a week after we got engaged. Not only to look and feel my best but I knew we’d want to start trying to conceive after the wedding and I wanted to be fit for the pregnancy so getting back in shape after would *hopefully* come easier. So while I'm
not “shredding for the wedding” in particular... such a huge life change definitely was the catalyst for me getting back in a fitness routine and making it a priority again!!

I hope you reach your goal! If I may add a suggestion: if eating is your Achilles heel then try portion control.

Your getting married in over a year so if you began exercising and eating smaller portions that wouldn't be unhealthy. That could also lead to a permanent lifestyle change.

    Yes and no.
I’m working out because my doctor told me to, I’m in recovery mode from a back injury. I will lose weight but I didn’t set out to do it for my wedding dress or anything. I’m incredibly weak and frail right now, I’m building muscle again!
I honestly just want to feel healthy again. I want to dance at my wedding. I guess the added bonus is looking cuter in a swimsuit though.

Thanks! I tried on my dress yesterday at alterations and it’s looking amazing. I don’t think I’ll be recovered by the wedding but my dress is super puffy and I’m wearing my support belt under it. We’re going to have a great time!

Thank you! And you know what’s funny! It’s seriously just from emotional eating and impulse eating but I’m working very hard on it. I eat like a bird when I have meals

I maintained my weight and stayed active but my mindset changed because I realized I was thinking about it purely for my wedding when it should be for my overall health.
