Love Dias vs Full Dias

ECM, on June 6, 2013 at 8:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

Okay, I've never heard this term before but my restaurant coordinator asked if my FH and I will be having a love dias or full dias. I'm not even sure if it's misspelled, but basically will we be sitting by ourselves or with our wedding party. I think it's more common nowadays to just sit by ourselves.

Will you be sitting as a couple or with your wedding party? If you're planning to sit with your wedding party, will their significant others/dates sit with you as well?

With the wedding party. I've never seen a sweetheart table done and I feel like more people will constantly approach you if you're just two by yourselves, than with the wedding party.

We might have to since I don't want to split up the wedding party from their dates. Thanks, ladies!

We did neither. We sat at a normal table (all of our tables were round and the same size, though we could have done a sweetheart or wedding party table) with our parents and my three grandparents (his have all passed away). People will approach you no matter where you sit. My wedding party members were grateful to be able to sit with their spouses/significant others.

I've never seen a sweetheart table until I came here. So, were doing head table. Most of the people in our bridal party are married to someone on the other side. There are only 2 people with dates and they know other people so they will sit with their friends, the rest aren't bringing dates.

We are sitting with the wedding party. Traditional girls on one side and guys on the other. Our wedding party consists of my 2 sisters and 2 BIL's, and FH's sister and cousin so just the 8 of us are sitting up there.

We had a sweetheart table and it was great. nobody bothered us during dinner at all, and we really only sat there long enough to eat (and i DID eat!).

my husband was in a wedding and they had a head table. the dinner went on for HOURS and i felt like i hardly saw him the whole night and was bored stiff by the time the dancing finally started. it was also a really long table, so i just didn't get the point. you don't even get to interact with your BP while eating when it's set up like that. didn't wanna do that to my BP.

I don't want to split up my WP from their dates, so I will probably go with a sweetheart table.

We did two "family tables." Each table sat 24 and was on either side of the dance floor. I didn't want the wedding party spouses to sit with guests they didn't know so we had them sit with their spouse at the head tables. It worked great and they appreciated it too.

We sat at one table with the two best men, their spouses and the two MOH and their spouses. The remainder of the bridal party sat across from us with their spouses.
