My future husband and I are getting married in 2 weeks by having a private ceremony at home with parents and siblings. Next year (hoping COVID is no longer an issue) we are planning a beautiful reception with a vow renewal with friends and extended family. Since this is unique circumstance, can I still have a bridal shower after our private “I do’s”?

Of course. This isn’t unusual with COVID. Many brides are doing this so people are understanding of how things aren’t always going as planned right now. Congratulations on your upcoming ceremony.
