Love Letter and Wine Box Ceremony Ideas?

Is anybody planning on doing one of these? I love the idea of them but I have a dilemma. Neither FH or I like wine (or whisky which I have seen as an alternative). So i am looking for another idea to put in the box to enjoy 5 years later. Or any other advice if you have done or are planning to do one!

For anyone who doesn't know: During the wedding the bride and groom lock away love letters and a bottle of wine in a box. If their relationship is ever going through some hard times they open the box, read the letters, and discuss their relationship over the wine. Or, on their 5 year anniversary they open the box to celebrate. After they open it, they write new letters and replenish the wine to be opened another 5 years later and so on.

What do you guys like to drink? I imagine it could be anything that doesn't go bad. Rum? Tequila? Gin?

@EM: I wasn't sure if just putting a straight up bottle of vodka in there would be a little tacky or not, but that will probably be what we go with.

We're doing one, but FH and I both love wine/drinking. We are also doing it yearly instead of every 5/10/25 years. You can really do it with any sort of alcohol, but if you don't like to drink, then just remove the alcohol from it entirely and do it as a love letter sort of idea. I think it will make each anniversary special (even ones that fall on a Wednesday) because we can go read each other's letters and enjoy the wine that we picked out. Also, I am not a fan of saving alcohol and opening it in the future. It tends to go bad or have packaging problems.

Just saw your response. So put vodka in there. I don't suggest finishing the entire bottle that night, but to each there own.

We do lots of these. I've done tequila, vodka, wine, Scotch and Irish Whiskey.
