Loving this Jamba Juice diet!

Tara, on April 7, 2011 at 10:56 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 1 23

For the past 2 weeks I've been replacing a breakfast or lunch with a Jamba Juice smoothie M-F, and today I'm wearing the cutest little pair of stark white capri pants that I bought last October. They were way too small at the time, and last month when I tried them on they were too small still. BUT I'M ROCKIN' 'EM TODAY!! WOOT!! ~happy girl~ haha

Exactly 8 weeks until my dress is expected to arrive!!!

Um...what kind of undergarments should I buy before my fitting???

I'd say don't buy any until you know how the real one fits. My dress fit perfect with NOTHING Smiley smile

    @ Alexandra that's awesome!!!

@ Amee it reminds me to eat healthier the rest of the day, too. Not to say that I don't occasionally go wild with chocolate or anything haha (oops) Smiley laugh

Be careful with the Jamba Juice stuff! It's good, but it's ALOT of sugar for your body! You would be better off making your own smoothies and drinking one half the size instead of a full one. I'd look at how many calories are in them- because some have 400 calories.

But reminding you to eat healthier the rest of the day is a good thing!

Yes I've seen some of those desert-style smoothies!! Some of them (off the menu items at least) are named after CANDY!! The one I get is all fruit. I know there is a lot of sugar in fruit, but natural sugar. I went on a diet once that said you couldn't have ANY fruit, and it was one of those where once you stop, you gain it all back x2. So I figure if I can be happy trading a chicken bacon ranch sandwich at Jack In The Box for a Jamba, I'm doing good Smiley laugh

Years ago I tried to create the same thing at home, but it did NOT work out! LOL Then someone borrowed my blender... college + margaritas + bbq = no more blender. But I registered for a new blender! HAHA

The Enlightened Smoothies, medium sized, are about 120 calories and made with non-fat yogurt. I love the Strawberry Banana with a protein boost! Yummers!

Original citrus squeeze with daily vit. every morning 6 days a week, soup and or salad for lunch, beer and burritos or a lean cusine for dinner. oh yes and sugar free red bull... I wouldn't call it structured I just didn't really care for junk food, my splurge was beer... i suppose that's how my body craved it's sugars...

I love citrus squeeze!! But without the banana, sub strawberries. Sometimes I get it without the pineapple juice, sometimes with.

Congrats on losing the weight =) It sounds like you're also enjoying the diet too. If you're looking for undergarments, I just recieved the one that I had ordered today, and I love it. I got it from fredericksof hollywood.com. It's surprisingly comfortable and super sexy. It also has a super low back and enough support in the boob are. Here's the link if you wanna check it out. They also have many others.

I would hold off ordering anything if you are losing weight. If you order now it won't fit for the wedding. Wait until a month or two before the wedding so it will closer to your current size.

Lol oh my goodness I always get it no bananas sub strawberries! that is so funny! I wish I lived closer to a jamba I would still be skinny! but I did invest in a power juicer so maybe that will give me some of the same results...

I don't think we have a jamba juice Smiley sad I wanna lose weight too! I need a good routine that is not to demanding at first so that I will stick to it. The smoothie in the morning and soup or salad and lunch sounds good to me, but what kind of soup is good and can you load down your salad with avocado or hearts of palm or olives and stuff like that? That is my weakness. Also I think dinner is where I would blow it. I need a good game plan for dinner so that I will stick to it without getting bored. Oh, and alcohol...I like to drink. My fiance' and I go out around 2-3 times a week, which is a lot but we usually do it up on the weekends and take it easy during the week. Doing the whole college thing still. So what would be a good drink that doesn't have a lot of cal? I was thinking vodka and water with lime??

Vodka soda water with lime is YUMMY! and you can use flavored vodka too! I ate minestrone without chicken stock! I don't think it really matter what type of soup it is as long as it's low in fat and not too crazy with the sodium... And my salads I put what ever toppings I wanted on them but I used balsamic vinigar for dressing or no dressiing at all.... and I didn't use the olive oil with it either.

Congrats on your weight loss Smiley smile As far as what you wear under your dress it really depends on what you want and your dress, I would suggest trying your dress on with a slip/crinoline and a bra and without it to see which way you like it better. With my dress I need a slip/cronoline, without one my dress looks weird and loses its shape in the skirt. A bra also depends on your dress.. if you have a corset back or lace up back you may not need a bra. I've tried my dress on with my bra and without it. I don't really have to have a bra, but I am because I want a little help with holding in my stomach, that's the only reason I'm wearing one.
