Hi all, I’m curious to see where everyone’s budgets are with the same specifications as ours. I have no idea what to expect expense wise and would like feedback. Looking at 100 max guests(trying to keep it relatively small) in Tennessee. With a barn venue for ceremony and reception. Decorations I can handle myself but i don’t know normal costs for photographers, hair and makeup, catering. Those types of things. So what was your budget like without dress and rings.

    Really depends on what you want. When I was *shopping* for a photographer, everything was different between everyone. Anywhere from 1500 to 3000. Those are relatively big numbers. After meeting a few and going to a few meet and greets, I recieved an email from classic photographers. It was a 500 off promo of any of their packages. Comparing what they offer verses what other offered, I was getting more for 1600 (on a 2200 package). From there on I watched for deals on the vendors I liked.
    DJ- $800 ($500 of promo plus a preferred vendor from venue)
    Cake/cupcakes- ($650 with their promo also preferred vendor from venue)
    Photobooth- $600
    Catering is being handled by venue
    Venue -$4000 (I just happen to know the event coordinator and she hooked it up)
    And all the other misc, dress, suit, etc.
    I wasnt opting for a cheap wedding, I just had a set budget a d was doing my research. Denver is expensive on a lot of different levels which made our decision a little harder and needed some digging. But over all I am happy with what we have chosen.

    Can I ask why your catering is a third of the appetizers?

    I’m in north Georgia, and my most expensive is the venue itself. Everything we looked as far as venues were cheaper than we one we picked BUT you could ONLY use their vendors (food flowers cake photography planning etc) which ended up being much more than we wanted to spend with all those out together. The venue we ended up with offers all of that if you want or you can do whatever. So we spent a little more on them to be able to spend less everywhere else. Our guest is is 120 people barn venue. Doing a taco bar for about $1500 photographer was $2500 and I’m doing my own flowers so I’m saving sooo much that way. All in were looking at about $10k

    I’m in southern Illinois but I went to some wedding fairs and got some prices and even really good discounts. I really didn’t want to go to any at all, I was fully against them but in the long run it was a lot easier to get prices and I saved $300 on my photographer and $100 on my DJ. Just a suggestion.

    We are estimating an average of 14k. It's a small wedding if 95 people but we are getting everything professionally done eventhough we know a DJ but he hasn't done that many weddings. We just dont want anyone doing us favors the day of the wedding & for it to fail.

    Video & photos= $3,000
    Venue= $3,000
    Hair= $150
    Makeup= $160
    Cake= $240
    DJ with photobooth= $2,100
    Catering= $2,490

    My original budget was $5,000 and then I laughed and laughed and cried and upped it to $10,000. At this point is looks like it's going to be closer to $15,000. I'm inviting 120 people (will probably have around 100 in attendance but you never know).

    I still need a florist (budget is $1000)

    I need to confirm my catering but it should be about $15/person for bbq, ribs, 2-3 sides, and he will serve dessert too (So I assume it'll be about $1,500)

    I need to figure out my dessert but as of right now I want ice cream for everyone and a cutting cake for us.

    Our family is paying for everyone except the alcohol which we will be buying. No clue about this yet either. Probably a lot of beer. Some wine because we are getting married AT a winery. No liquor.

    Photographer $800 Décor centerpieces $220 Décor Silver Trays $115 Videographer $2,053.35 Venue $3,975.08 Linens $246.40Candlestick Holders $60DJ $650.00 Hair/Makeup $500.00 Décor $75

    It all depends on the food that you have for the wine. my suggestion is buy what you like cause you get the leftovers. As far as beer I always double or triple the expected amount. sometimes if you have a local brewery you can cut a deal with them on a few kegs or bottles. My budget went out the window after I tried to figure a few things in like food and drinks. but I would spend budget on things you want or see as your vision the reason I am paying for the wedding is cause I don't want others to influence or have a say in what happens. You have in your mind what you want and you know what you like. In the end its about you

    We’ve decided to get married at Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s $250 for the permit regardless of guest count. We were originally planning to spend about $10,000, but decided there are better uses for the money. Between the permit, entry fees for cars, food, and a photographer, the wedding will cost well under $1,000

    Yeah! we did catering last minute because we were planning on doing a potluck but everyone was stressing so we changed our minds and booked a pizza food truck 14 days out lol!
    So we were just going to do super nice appetizers and then a potluck dinner but life happens 🤷🏻‍♀️
