Luggage

Concetta, on July 22, 2019 at 12:46 PM Posted in Registry 0 5

Hi,

We are usually carry on kind of people... but our vacations have never been that long. We plan on having a 10 day honeymoon and than will try every year after to go to Italy, Spain, etc so those will be long trips also. Is it worth registering for a 29 inch suit case? I see some packages are a carry on size and a 29 inch and than there are some that have 3 pieces a carry on, 25 inch and 29 inch (small, medium, large) what do you guys think is best? should I just register for 2 carry on and a medium?

I'm a carry on type too aha. I don't ever use baggage claim just out of my own preference but I'd suggest this depends on if you think you'll need to pack a lot or bring back a lot and if carry ons are enough for that.

We registered for a carry on and a full size suitcase. We took a 10 day trip to CA and packed our essentials in the carry-ons, and the rest in the checked luggage.

We do a fair amount of travelling, and will often pack one medium-large checked bag, and then both carry on backpacks. I personally like having the option for extra space and not having to deal with keeping roller bags with us in the airport.

My "big" suitcase has always been the 26" size, and expandable, to allow for extra souvenirs on the way home. Depending on where I'm going, I've also got a duffle bag that collapses totally flat that I'll put in the bottom of my suitcase just in case the shopping gets a little out of control. But in that case, the dirty laundry goes in the duffle so the souvenirs are more protected in my regular luggage.

Just a heads up, if you are flying within Europe, check what those baggage restrictions are. My best friend is going for her honeymoon a few months for 15 days and are just bringing carry ons and plan on doing laundry (in the sink if needed) in between because some of the airlines they are using to get from place to place have pretty tight restrictions that would not allow them to drag checked luggage around with them.
