Maggie Sottero Esme dress -- Price and/or pictures please!

Melissa, on January 12, 2015 at 11:35 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

Hello ladies!!

Has anyone tried on or bought the Maggie Sottero Esme dress? I haven't tried on dresses yet but saw this dress on a bridal TV show -- literally, love at first site! Does anyone know the retail price? I've done a lot of research online and can only find prices for used dresses.

Also, does anyone have any comments on the dress itself in terms of fit, style, color options, etc?

Thanks!! Smiley smile

The price of the dress is $1,579. Found it on the rk bridal website. Unfortunately I haven't tried it on, but I did find a board with pictures of many brides in it & discussing it.

I had the same love at first sight feeling with the 'Kadee' maggie sottero style! Ive seen a couple pics of it on real people and its not as flattering as i thought. Waaah

As O&S just said it was EXTREMELY heavy, and somewhat itchy, but the champagne color was beyond gorgeous. I noticed the tulle kept getting caught in the bead work, and the skirt didn't lay flat where the beading met the tulle, which made me look sort of wide.

Where i was the price was around $1700. It was my second choice, but I ended up with a Justin Alexander 8724.

Don't mind my face, my mother is TERRIBLE at taking pictures

Thanks futuremrs.I! The dress looks gorgeous on you! Although I must say, the dress you ended up with is equally as stunning!

She is waiting on me to come pay the rest of her off and pick her up! I got her for $1,484 after taxes. I don't have pictures of me in her, but these are the ones I have on my work computer.

Thanks, the JA was about 1/2 the weight and at 5'2" that made a huge difference! But its a stunning dress for sure!

& i actually loved the fact that she was heavy, lol. There is so much detail on her that i expected that. It didn't itch me at all and there weren't any problems with how it laid. I will be getting an underskirt though to poof it out a bit more.

Also... There are pics of "real brides" in the dress on the Maggie website. Here's the link: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=3MS745&page=0&pageSize=108&keywordText=&keywordType=All

Thanks ladies! Emma & Aaron, did you try it on with an underskirt? That's one thing I was thinking of doing because I wish it was just a touch more poofy!

It's on the designers website: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=3MS745

I didn't buy the Esme, but I did buy Brandi, which was about $1,850 and also very heavy because of all the beading - but well worth it.

@Melissa, I'm buying it separately. With any dress, I didn't want it to be getting in between my legs while I was walking so I was going to get one no matter what.

ETA: I didn't try it on with one.

Also... there are a few variations of the dress available from Maggie.

Esme Marie has a longer train than Esme: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=3MS745MC

Wendy has a dropped waist: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=4MT852LU

Thanks songbird! I've seen those but I'm not really a fan of the dropped waist. Smiley smile

Esme Marie is also made of organza and I didn't like that.
