Magnetic invites?

Michelle, on February 6, 2021 at 3:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
Has anyone thought of doing these? They were suggested to me and I was curious about the consensus. Skip the paper and upload a design of your choice onto a magnetic backing similar to a save the date. Also difficult to misplace.

I want to do magnets, but also include them in our actual invites.

Most people throw away invitations so we optes for regular, traditional invites and used the money elsewhere.

Please consider those of us whose kitchen appliances are glass fronted like overs and refrigerators, or wooden, or painted metal that is not iron or steel, cobalt or nickel ( magnetic).
So tired of trashing Save the Dates which stick to nothing in the kitchen or office or family room, that you want for postings. I would hate to see invites come this way.

I did magnets for save the dates and so did my brother! I got them off of Etsy. They are great because your guests can slap them right on their fridge. It’s hard to misplace a magnet! And it’s like a little souvenir before the wedding.

Vistaprint is fairly inexpensive too and can be done in any size

I throw magnetic save the dates away as soon as I open the envelope. They do not stay on my smart fridge nor do I want to stare at someone’s save the date for 8 months... lol

I absolutely love them, but it was a low priority "want" and the cost of them vs the cost of the paper ones I also liked... paper won.

I feel like most people end up throwing the invitations away. If you could fine them for cheap then go for it, but I personally wouldn't spend extra for them to go in the trash. We did do our save the dates as magnets

I ordered magnet save the dates from Vistaprint. They were affordable and came out great! The only thing to consider is you will have to bring them to the post office yourself vs. throw them in a local outgoing mail box because they will stick to the metal sides and may get lost!

TBH if I received a magnet invitation I'd probably either throw it away or set it aside and forget about it. My fridge isn't magnetic.
