Maid of Honor - How are you making her stand out?

I also hated not being able to see my friends get married when I was a bridesmaid, all I could see is the groomsmen and part of the grooms face. I wish I could have sat and watched the ceremony. I wasn’t able to sit back and watch the beautiful ceremony and actually witness my girlfriends saying their vows. Our ceremony location is very small, and we were kind of on the fence as to whether or not we would have a wedding party stand with us, or just walk down the aisle and sit with their significant others. Your observation has definitely made me lean towards just having them sit and comfortably enjoy the experience. Thank you for the insight!!

My MOH will have a different bouquet. They are all in black dresses, but each has a different style. I didn’t want to hear anyone complain that they didn’t like the dress or it cost too much. LOL. The bridesmaids are carrying a bouquet of baby’s breath and mine is baby’s breath with roses. MOH is baby’s breath with sweetheart roses.

I think there are a few good options if you want your MOH to stand out. You’d mentioned you really don’t care what fabric as long as they look good together. Some people have their MOHs in beaded or sequined dresses. A beaded belt is another good option. You could also get her a larger bouquet. I like the idea of a flower crown or jeweled headpiece.

My MOH is wearing a different style and color dress from the BMs. She may also have some of my special flowers in her bouquet, just not as many as mine.

My MOH’s dress was a different material from the other bridesmaids. It’s barely noticeable in pictures actually but you could tell more in person (she’s second from right in this picture). It actually wasn’t even deliberate at first, she just picked the dress she liked and then when she realized it was a different material I was like oh perfect even better 😂

I got matching bracelets for me, my mom and my maid of honor. Mine has a navy ribbon to match the bridesmaids and my mom and my moh will have this one

My sister/MOH will be the only one wearing a hair piece. I know it sounds little, but she’ll also be getting a special gift

My Maid and Matron of Honor will have bigger bouquets and will be the only ones that are wearing dresses that feature lace (their bodices are made out of lace basically)

My MOH is going to have a sparkly brooch on her waist that will make her stand out Well, at least thats the plan -- haven't tried it with her dress yet!

I’m not doing anything specific with her. All of my bridesmaids have different styles of dress in the same color so there’s no option there. I feel like it’s pretty obvious that she’s the made of honor since she’ll be the one right next to me all night! I think there are lots of ideas but I don’t know that you HAVE to do anything!

We are not having anyone stand out. I have to friends who are women standing up for me and my best guy friend also. I tell everyone they are all equally important to me in different ways. My longest friend is standing up next to me so everyone is good with it and they all love their rolls in our day.

My BM's are wearing a different color than my MOH. That's really the only difference.
