Matron would be preferable given that she will be married on the day.

I agree with the previous comments - Matron Of Honor would probably be the best title to use in this scenario.

Matron of Honor would be more appropriate, but you can also ask her what title she would prefer.

Matron is the obvious title even though your guests won't care at all about that, neither will your MOH. Having her as your MOH is the most important thing for the 2 of you.

I would go with maid if I was doing like pre wedding stuff if you’re doing boxes to ask them or something. But at the wedding, if you’re doing programs or something, I’d transition the title to matron. I’d feel weird or like bad luck calling matron before the event (especially after seeing so many covid reschedules). Once she’s married I’d shift. I feel like Maid is kind of the standard, and matron is a formality

My friend called her married MoH the Maid of Honor. "Maid" is the default title. I personally don't like being called a matron

I personally would not like to be called the Matron of Honor even if it's technically correct. Also, just ask her what she prefers?

For anything wedding related happening before she's married, I'd go with 'Maid', then once she's married change it to "Matron'. Some people don't like the title 'matron', so you could always ask her what she prefers!
