Mailing Magnets

Erica , on February 11, 2014 at 2:02 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

Did anyone have any problems with shipping magnet STD's? I sent some out a week ago and some people haven't received them. I'll keep waiting but I did search and here and I see the past brides were ok with shipping. Any current brides/grooms have an issue?

I mailed magnet Save the Dates that I got from VistaPrint back in October and I didn't have any issues, some went pretty far too.

I mailed magnet save the dates but from an Etsy shopper and they were a bit thicker so one came back because the guy on that shift decided not to let that one through while all of the rest went through no problem. I did later find out that it was too thick for regular postage but the person told me it was fine when i went to buy the stamps! Mine went as far as Australia and made it no problem.

    Nope, no problems.

I mailed mine all across Canada, the US and Trinidad.

Did you use the correct postage?

I got mine from VP and used regular postage back in October. They were sent globally and we didn't have any issues. At least, none that we're aware of. Your issue could be due to the weather. It's a crap time for the usps.

I don't know of any issues when shipping mine (besides my own stupidity of leaving them on top of the car and driving off)

Everyone I have talked to received theirs.

I had to put more postage on them. .66 stamps I believe vs the normal ones.

I had a few people not get my magnets - i literally think that some of them stuck to the inside of the mailbox that i stupidly mailed them from. total airball on my part. there is no reason for me to have not just taken them to the post office, but nooooooo. they are probably still on the stupid blue mail box.

I had a couple of mine get mailed back to me (the post office sent them to the return address on the back), but I haven't heard of anyone not getting them. If you have extras, you may just want to resend them the guests who didn't get theirs. The post offices have drop boxes inside that you can put them in.

Thanks ya'll I'm not gonna make a big deal about an STD. So I'm not resending. They know the date hopefully the invite makes it fine. Just wish they had their magnet.
