Maintaining Current Weight

Erin, on July 9, 2019 at 2:13 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 6
I know most people here are looking for advice and tips for how to lose weight, but my situation is a little bit different. I ordered my dress in a size 2. The consultant pulled the sides of the dress in to show me how it would fit and how it would look. It was a little bit tight, but the dress is also a strapless ball gown so it’s probably supposed to be.

The issue is, due to budget constraints we’ve had to push the wedding date back until April 2021. Now I have a dress that fits me perfectly as I am. As such I can’t lose too much weight, and I can’t gain any either, because then my dress won’t fit.

Any tips for how how to maintain my current weight for the next year and a half? Smiley xd I tend to eat like garbage and I’m trying to clean up my diet. If anyone has any recipe tips Tom that’d be awesome.

Have you been trying to gain or lose recently, or do you generally maintain? I'd say keeping a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle helps to maintain your weight. However, since your marriage is now a year and a half out, I wouldn't stress too much over gaining/losing as you will go through a couple holiday (aka eating bad) cycles as well as a couple "get right for summer bikini season" cycles. Check your weight weekly, and measurements monthly, and if you begin to see changes one way or another, just adjust from there.

If you're trying to maintain, just keep doing what you're doing! If you're exercising, great. If not, don't worry too much about it. Like Madison mentioned your wedding is so far out even if you did gain or lose weight you have plenty of time for adjustments.

Take your measurements now since the dress fits. Write them down, put it in your side table or bathroom drawer. Every few months or so take your measurements to make sure there is no drastic change. Check in with your eating habits if your measurements start to change. Many apps have a calorie tracker that you can set with your height and weight and instead of loosing weight you can say maintain and you will get a calorie count based on your activity level. Usually **** calories.

Google calorie calculator - you can put in your measurements and it will populate how many calories you need to eat to maintain weight!

Take up running or even walking more often! Also, plenty of water never hurts!

Download the cronometer app and set it up to maintain your weight. That's what I did. Similar situation. I'm at my lowest weight since I was 18 and my measurements are exact to my dress. I'm maintaining for a year and 2 months or I'm going naked.
