Maintaining weight

Sydney, on February 18, 2021 at 4:03 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 6
I just tried on my dress that I bought more than a year ago now. It fits, but I have concerns about gaining any additional weight because then it would be too small. I haven't been eating the healthiest and I'm not exercising because it is cold outside. I'm not sure if I should change my diet and start exercising now to prevent from gaining additional weight or if I should keep doing things about the same.

I’d start with eating healthier-you don’t want to lose too much weight by adding on a new workout routine. I have 44 more days to go & I’m stress eating! I’ve cut my snacking to veggies. I love sweets so I’m rationing a candy bar so I get my sugar fix.

I would do an easy diet. I do a diet for general health that requires few changes and doesn't ever leave me hungry if you're one who struggles with diets! My friend found it successful for maintaining weight.

What does the weather have to do with exercising? I lost 15lbs with just a yoga mat and following Chloe Ting youtube videos indoors AND by only eating veggies and lean meats. Anyways, with weight loss its a calories in calories out formula. You need to not exceed 1500 calories per day. What you eat will make a bigger difference compared to exercise.

If I were you I would let your dress be your motivation to stay on a healthy diet! It will make you feel great when you get in the dress on your wedding day and feel confident and beautiful and know you worked for it!

Aside from eating healthier, just try to stay active. Some days you will mess up with your eating habits - my fiancé and I are pretty strict with our meals but some days, all I want is a Hershey bar and a coke LOL

Just stay active and pushing yourself physically, try not be too hard on yourself with your diet - that's half the battle!

I don't think you should worry too much about gaining weight if you have been maintaining your weight without trying. You could end up losing too much or gaining because of stress if you start worrying. Its always good to try to eat healthy and exercise a little just to take care of yourself, but I wouldn't do anything extreme. Try on your dress once a month until the wedding and you will know if it is getting tighter or not.

Find an exercise regimen you like that you can stick with. The key is maintaining because being consistent isn’t easy
