Make Up Trial

NextChapterReady, on July 10, 2019 at 10:05 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 11

Okay so I just want to say that it's okay to have more than one make up trial! I had originally liked what my MUA did with my makeup, but felt like it wasn't the best it could be. I had a second trial and again liked it, but thought it didn't suit my features the best even with the tweaks. I had a wedding I was attending and decided to have another trial and mentioned I wanted to try slimmer brows and maybe a whiter eye shadow and holy cow! When she was done I just knew that's how I wanted to look for my wedding day! It was perfect! And even better, it was an outdoor wedding at literally 100 degrees and my makeup lasted all night even with me patting sweat off my face occasionally LOL

A girl asked me, did you get your makeup done? I said yeah as a wedding trial. She said, "ANOTHER one?" And honestly I just wanted to let everyone know not to let people's opinions bother you. If I hadn't done it I wouldn't have an amazing makeup look I love! It relieved my concerns and was worth the $45 in my opinion. If you have the money and want to try out some different things, go for it!

I'm so in love with my makeup!Make Up Trial 1I'm so in love with my makeup!Make Up Trial 2

After 100 degree heat and a 6 hour wedding! It's amazing, it still looks perfect! Make Up Trial 3

It looks great! Don't settle until you have exactly what you want!

Did you use airbrush foundation or regular?

Nothing wrong with doing multiple trials, if that is what you need to do. You look beautiful, congrats!

Thanks! My MUA offers the option of both. I was initially set on airbrush because I've had it before, and I thought it looked flawless....but I've been reading pros and cons on both airbrush and traditional and now I'm torn.

You obviously loved your airbrush foundation, but can you give any specific reasons why? Or any reason you think it might be better than traditional? (My trial is this Sunday so I'm trying to decide what I want!)

You're totally right! If that $45 gave you the peace of mind you need, it was worth every penny Smiley laugh

Sure! My first MUA for engagement photos (she was already booked for my wedding) did regular application. I was surprised with how smooth it was and how well it lasted. However, it's much more difficult to get regular application to last through 10+ hours of a wedding, so I feel like the MUA has to have a LOT of skill to get you that. Airbrushing with my MUA was much faster and also gave a very smooth look. It lasted all night as well. The one thing I will say is that my first trial did not hold up well and started flaking off badly. This was due to very dehydrated and undernourished skin! So I started getting facials every 6-8 weeks with her and trying to stick to a cleansing and moisturizer routine nightly. This time she was SO happy with the difference with my skin! And it didn't flake at all! So if you have really dry, peeling skin, you might want to go with regular application. Regular can work just as well with the right person! I hope my experience helps you out! Smiley smile
