Make up Trials

You'll generally have your makeup trial sometime in the three months before the wedding. That way it's still fresh in your MUA's mind come the day of the wedding

I'm doing my makeup trial at the end of January for my Leap Day wedding. Some people decide to it closer to the wedding or others do it before they book their MUA. I decided to do it a month before as my wedding is an hour & a half away from where I live, and I planned to be in town that weekend.

I did mine yesterday and my wedding is this April.

I’m doing mine sometime around May/June for my August wedding.

Im doing mine the weekend of Martin Luther King Day for my March 20th wedding. Added bonus: My bachelorette night is the night of my trial!

My wedding is April 30 and I'm doing my trial on Jan 18 for our wedding shower. I'm also choosing to do it before actually booking her for the wedding so that in case I'm not happy with her I will have be able to to get a new person.

My trial was about 6 weeks before the wedding - since we were getting married/using HMU vendors that were in a different state then where I was currently living, it was definitely more of a "when the schedules work for me to go into town" kindof thing.

Try and plan it around something fun - maybe before your bridal shower, bridal portraits, etc. or at least plan a fun lunch out or shopping trip
