What make up brand is every one using for their special day ? Mines coming up 09/12 @5 pm and want make up that won’t smear, smudge, or run at all. Good lasting for the occasion and for the reception with our worry

I am working with a HMUA and I am most likely splurging for the air brush as it lasts because I plan on a ceremony outside.

It all really depends on your skin, but some good brands with staying power are mac and makeup forever. The latter was actually developed by professional make up artists for film and theater stars (aka a lot of sweating and needing to stay).

A lot of people get their makeup airbrushed. Apparently it looks "lighter" and lasts a long time. I personally thought it looked to heavy on my face, but I usually don't wear makeup at all.

If you can swing it, I'd recommend using a professional HMUA, who will listen to what you want AND change things during your trial. I even had mine stay until the end of cocktail hour (for an additional fee) and she touched up not only MY hair AND make up after the ceremony (I was a mess! lol) and switched my live flowers for a flower crown (you know, cuz wilted flowers don't look great) but she ALSO touched up the hair AND makeup for my bridesmaids as well as my mom. It was wonderful!

Hope this helps a bit! Cheers!

You have to figure out your skin type and let your makeup artist know so she/he can use the right primer for you! Please please please use primer before applying foundation on your skin

I'm doing my own makeup, and am using Too Faced peach perfect comfort matte foundation because it has a nice finish and lasts a long time. (oily/combo skin). Be sure your products don't contain SPF because it looks bad with flash photography. Same thing with using glitter/anything with larger chunks of sparkle. And waterproof mascara is a must!

It helped a lot to search youtube for "makeup for photography" and "wedding makeup" for tips on type of makeup to use, application, etc.

Also, shimmer CAN be good (if applied incorrectly it may make you look sweaty, but mine was good) but glitter is ALWAYS bad
