Makeup and hair trial

Hey guys! So I need your help/advice. I had my hair and makeup trial and I really don’t know. I think I just need the hair a little more tucked up, but something’s off with the makeup. The first pictures are my Inspo pix, then how I do my makeup, then pictures of makeup from the trial. I think after contemplation I looked washed out and need more color, and I think the eye makeup makes my eyes look hooded . I have good skin and I think the airbrush makeup makes my complexion look not as good. I don’t know I’m just not feeling like it photographed very pretty.

Any feedback or what you’d tell the stylist would be much appreciated! Makeup and hair trial 1

I feel like there needs some volume up top of your hair but I still think you look beautiful!

I agree with PP about the volume. And yes there seems to be a few strands that need to be tucked in, but all these are minor things. I think I prefer the matte lips on the photo you shared where you did your own make up versus the glossier lip from the MUA. Overall you do have very good skin and she did a great job. You look beautiful.

I think your hair needs more volume for sure. Possibly clip in extensions if you want more volume. I'm not a fan of airbrush makeup at all, I hate it. It clings to imperfections and any dry skin and makes your skin look worse than it is (in my opinion), it works for some people but not for me! I also think some darker colors on your eyes and foundation would help.

Thank you- I’m kind of thinking the same. I already have legit hand tied extensions sooo I don’t know about clip ins. My natural hair is just very thin and fine unfortunately

I think the hair is beautiful.
You are so beautiful! I say do your own makeup. The airbrush stuff seems to age you. Maybe it’s just the eye makeup

I would ask her to use less highlighter on the apples of your cheeks. I think the eye makeup looks exactly like the inspiration photo. If you want to see more of your eye lid have her use less dramatic thinner eye lashes.
I agree with PP the hair needs a bit more volume up top, but you look beautiful!

I really don’t know much about makeup but I do like the look. Maybe a tad more shimmer in the shadow and less highlighter on your cheeks, it made you look sweaty? I loved your hair. I personally prefer a more neat up-do. Whatever you choose, you will gorgeous!

First off, you're beautiful! Don't confuse the makeup/hair issues with your beauty - that's definitely not the problem
I do think the foundation is too light in color and the eye shadow is too dark for the way she's done it - it almost looks like you have black eyes.
And could she tease your hair a bit at the top for some volume? Then you wouldn't need more extensions.

I think the crown needs teasing and overall more volume to achieve the look of your inspo. Hair extension can definitely help as well! I think the makeup looks good, and could maybe use some blush or even bronzer to add dimension to you face.

The makeup looks great. I wonder if a different hairdresser might be an option. Can you get a trial with someone else (a salon that specializes in extentions perhaps) to compare? Even with thin fine hair, they should be able to give you more volume with extentions.
