Does anyone have any opinions on air brush makeup vs traditional? I know air brush makeup is more expensive? Is it with the extra dollars to go for airbrush?

I talked to my stylist in depth about this because she also does both but she said unless there were wrinkles i wanted to cover she advised against the airbrush for me.

The airbrush is suppose to last longer but I think the overall look is dependent on your skin type. You could try talking to makeup counters in department stores or Sephora and get a free “trial” of traditional makeup. Not sure where to try out airbrush that might be free though.

It seriously depends on your skin type. We did airbrush for my trial to see if we could use it and it did not adhere well at all to certain parts of my face like my nose and chin. So for me, traditional foundation I think fills a little better. I’d definitely recommend a trial testing it if you can.

My make-up artist said that airbrush lasts longer. Especially since it's going to be a lonnnnnnnnnng day. Normal make up with her is $47 since I will be getting airbrush it is $10 more. So for me I will be paying $57. I don't have wrinkles but, when I was younger I used to pill off my pimples *I know gross and I regret it now* and I some scars from it. So that's why I chose the airbrush. I also feel it has a smoother finish. I did airbrush for my sisters wedding too.

I did the airbrush because the girl told me it was more humidity resistant and I got married in Florida in the beach. I also liked that she could layer it on and I could look at it after each application and decide when was enough. It felt light and looked amazing and to me was well worth it but you should consult with a few people to see if it makes sense for your skin. Good luck.

It will really depend on you - your skin, your preference, etc. For me, it was ABSOLUTELY worth it. I didn't have to touch up my makeup AT ALL - from 8am until midnight, it was flawless from top to bottom. That has never happened. The airbrush makeup for me felt lighter, didn't make me sweat, stayed put a lot better and didn't interact with the rest of my makeup at all - no streaking, everything held, it was amazing and if I could do airbrush everyday for myself, I totally would just because of my wedding makeup lol. And I know it wasn't a fluke because for my trial I wore that makeup all day for shopping, errands and a bachelorette party in the heat of summer and then a rain storm and that held in place too.

I would definitely say that if your skin "likes" it, it's totally worth it. But definitely see if you can get in for a trial. It may not be the right thing for you, but it would be better to know ahead of time, right?! Smiley smile

I did a trial with airbrush makeup because the makeup artist said it would a) last longer, b) look great for photos, c) make the skin look flawless. It definitely wasn't the look for me. I don't wear much makeup, so it felt icky on my skin. I thought it accentuated flaws/wrinkles in a way my normal foundation/BB cream doesn't. You really have to do a trial to know how you feel about it!

I'm not an airbrush fan. I don't have even skin, I have pitting/uneven tone/dry skin so it clung to my imperfections and dried out too quickly.

Airbrush isn’t good for dry skin so it will depend on your skin type.
