Makeup artist not getting back to me.

So I booked my makeup artist by putting a 40$ deposit down via cash app. We spoke a lot during the time I had first contact her up until the day I paid her. After that, I haven’t heard from her. I messaged her to give her a heads up on venue location, but she hasn’t responded. What do I do? She may be busy with a wedding or something (I found her on here) but it’s been two days and I’m really afraid that I may have booked too early and will not be able to count on her.

    Oh there was also no contract whatsoever and we have never met. We just discussed things via WeddingWire.

    While two days isn't a lot of time to not hear back from someone, I would caution you against giving anyone money without a written contract. I would try to contact her again in another day or two, and if no response, unfortunately move on Smiley sad

    If she doesn't respond in the next 2 days, I would just move on unfortunately. Since you didn't sign a contract, there's nothing stopping her from taking your money and running.

    She may have also just had a busy weekend with weddings. I would let her know if she gets back to you that you would like a contract in writing including your deposit, location, date and time she needs to be at the venue. Then have both of you sign it.
