Makeup at studio or on location??

It’s a lot easier to have them come to you. But most have a minimum dollar or service amount for that.

I’m having my HMUAs come to be and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t want the stress of running all over town on my wedding day.

My HMUA is coming to our location. There was a minimum number of services needed for her to travel, but almost all of my bridal party is getting at least hair or makeup done.

I agree, running around town would be stressful.

I prefer going to the studio because it’s cheaper, plus I won’t be having a bridal party.

I’m going to her studio. My venue, her studio and my house are all very close together. Also I have cats that get in the way of things and not the best lighting in my house, we aren’t getting a hotel room or anything because we’re all local. So I just figured it’d be better for all involved to go to her. We’re going to get things to eat and drink while we’re getting ready and then go straight from her place to the church to get dressed. I guess it’s really a matter of preference. For me it just seemed easier to do it this way.

I’m going to the studio since there was only 3 of us getting makeup done. Every company that I reached out to said they had a minimum of 5 girls. Kind of glad it worked out that way.

We will be most likely going to the salon rather than having someone come to us. We aren’t makeup wearing people so I can’t justify paying over $300 for my own and having my girls spend over $100 on theirs (if they wanted it) when I can just go to the salon for way cheaper.

I paid $60 for travel fees for the MUA to come to my venue. So worth it! She did my hair & makeup, and makeup for my mom & sister. The morning of our wedding was stressful & busy enough! Consider doing everything you can to make your wedding day easier & less stressful.

Im having my mua come to us at the venue it will be to hectic to go to them on that day..

I’m having my Hair and Makeup Artist come to my venue(I have it all day). I thought it would just be easier, and we could all enjoy some mimosas and relax. Plus my photographer can get some getting ready photos.

They will definitely come to me. I didn’t even ask if there was an option of going to the studio. Its more convenient for me if they come to me and my girls.

We are going to the studio. I’m a little nervous about having enough time to get to the venue and get dressed on time for photos but it doubles the price to have them come to the venue.

My MUA offered to come to me for my trial but I went to her instead. For my wedding day she was doing me, my mom and my bridesmaids so she came to me. As far as I know there wasn’t a price difference. With all of us she made over $500 and we fed her lunch lol

But let me also add my bridal suite was at my actual venue so it was very convenient to have her at the actual venue location for touch ups after pics and stuff

We are getting ready at the hair salon and my makeup artist is coming to the hair salon. We are being charged a little extra in travel fees but that's ok with me. I would prefer to travel to the hair salon only than both places and the makeup artist said it would be easier for her to travel than the team of hair stylists.

My hmua is also coming to me I will pay travel fees. If you have any problems with the hmua on your wedding day it can affect your wedding time line. Usually that person is the first vendor you will encounter on your wedding day. So you need their services done timely and stress free. so all other vendors and wedding day task could be timely.

I'm having them come to the venue I gotta be there at 8am to get keys for our venue. The hair and make-up ladies will be arriving at the venue around 9am.

If they come to you make sure you know their needs - outlets, light, space, etc.
