Makeup at studio or on location??

I’m currently looking for a makeup artist for the big day, but I didn’t think about whether I should go to the artist in their studio or have them come to me at the venue. Which option do you think is best? From what I’ve seen the in studio option is typically cheaper.

We are going to the salon for hair and makeup. It's cheaper, and the salon owner said that she can add more "manpower" if we're running behind schedule. The salon isn't that far from the venue.

They're coming to the hotel suite where we're getting ready. I would not want to deal with going to a studio or anywhere else that morning.
