What is considered expensive for bridal makeup? A makeup artist I really like charges $850 for my trial and day of makeup plus day of makeup for 2 additional people. I live in California in a high cost of living area. Additional people cost $100 each. So it seems like the price breaks down to: $325...

$325 for my trial (3 hour trial)

$325 for my day of (on site at no additional charge)

$200 for my two additional people

If I need more people, she says no charge for an additional stylist

This is only makeup and does not include hair

Would you consider doing your own? There are tons of tutorials on Youtube for professional photography/wedding day makeup and the photographer will edit everything to make sure everyone looks their best.

Hi, I think for the area that is about right. I’m a MUA and it depends on the area, experience, products used and travel. The MUA I’m using for my wedding is charging me $210 and my bridesmaids $110. But she is well worth the price. If she does excellent work, her reviews are great and it’s in your budget I say go for it!!

I would choose 3 or 4 makeup agencies and get a quote but you can certainly check this makeup and hair agency that is in Las Vegas it would be similar pricing in the west coast. Aleuco Beauty Studio

Thats expensive in my area (Texas) . I have myself, 4 bridesmaids and 2 mothers getting hair and makeup done on site for $740

Yea at Aleuco they charge $80 -$150 standard makeup depending on talent level but even the most expensive full package is like $300 to $350 makeup and hair.. Maybe because the amount of competition.

I'm also in California. It also depends on where in Cali. I'm in an area it's not as expensive. Myself +8 adults and 1 youth is around $1200. However if this was in the bay area it would be alot more. I am from San Jose, prices are crazy tjere.. What part of Cali?
