Makeup fail

Whoops, looks like they overdid it a bit! I hope your next trial goes better!

I think your makeup looks nice! However, I would suggest maybe trying a more natural look would make you more comfortable. I’m hesitant to do bold colors because you can see imperfections more as the night goes on. Good luck!!

Oh my! What were your inspiration pictures? Did you show your makeup artist any? Glad you have another trial set-up!

Your expressions are priceless! I think the look is very dated and aging. Try again maybe with someone else

Pic #1 I was all, "Nope. Too much." But pics #2 & #3 I was all "hey...I like those colors." Just seems a bit heavy. Feel the same about eyebrows too. I've only recently started using a very light pencil to fill in or I think I look manly! I don't need caterpillars up there.

It's not horrific, but I definitely see that it's very heavy. And I 100% agree with you about not liking the wings! I am wanting a specific wing.. so I've been doing my research on all the different ways!

I guess I got lucky, my artist will do as many looks as it takes until I like it. I guess thought that was customary. My trial is Sunday.

Not the worst makeup I've ever seen but she definitely didn't do you any justice. Hopefully your next trial goes better! Did you take any inspiration pictures?

The biggest problem is it isn't cohesive! Do big glam eyes? K then let's make sure to blend it all in and ensure the foundation etc. is the same level of glam. Lol sheesh. And yeah, the wing on her eyeliner seems...odd.

She did it all wrong... so sorry! Glad you were able to laugh it off so sorry you had to pay for that. I hope your next one makes you look as pretty as you are, please share!

I had a hair and makeup trial on Sat and was super unimpressed with mine too Ive never had makeup professionally done and it was just too much for my taste.

Yeah that’s a lot of make up! I don’t understand the MUAs or the clients that want to be made up as if they’re performing onstage. I’ve seen some women in the after photos end up unrecognizable. I want to look pretty on my wedding day but still like me!

Those colors don't go with your skin tone, making it look "stand out ish".

The next one I'm sure will go better!

Maybe practice on your own just with eyeshadow colors to see what YOU like, then you can suggest them to the next artist?

I feel like it's sooo important to have a good experienced makeup artist, good luck!!
