Makeup for the no-makeup wearing bride

Dominique, on June 4, 2018 at 3:51 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

I am going to my hair and makeup trial on Saturday - eeek! I do not wear any makeup day-to-day, sometimes a little mascara when I go out but that is pretty much it.

I do want to have my makeup done for the wedding so my eyes pop, even skin tone, etc. However - I DO NOT want it too look caked on and crazy loaded because that is just not me. Wondering if anyone has an inspiration/images of natural makeup looks for brides you could share. I am relatively pale, with green/blue eyes and blonde hair if that helps for any suggestions Smiley smile

Any advice on how to communicate this natural look preference to the makeup artist would be great too! Thanks!

The best thing is to look on google images for natural looks in your own skin tone. Save some pitcure you like to your mobile so when it it time, you can show them to your makeup artist. Give them the images at least a week ahead of your appointment so there will not be any surprises. That is what i did for mine. I dont wear makeup either.

I don't wear makeup often, but I like having a lot of makeup on when I get it done. I wouldn't have her do your eyebrows at all, that always looks extreme to me when I see myself (I have blonde hair so to me, it never looks natural). I would also opt for fake lashes, they look SO nice in pictures, but a shorter length that matches your natural lashes. I'd stick with neutral eye shadow colors too.

Say just what you said and make sure she knows you do not want full coverage foundation. That’s what will make you look and feel all cakey.

We have a similar skin tone and eye color combination. I don't wear much makeup myself, and when I do I prefer a lighter, natural look. I think your description should be just fine! I personally like brown tones for my eyes, but some subdued colors like purple go well with our eye color to bring them out. You could try playing with some more make up on the day to day to get more accustomed to the look. I'm sure you'll find just what you're looking for! Best of luck!

I use the sensitive skin excuse to discourage a lot of product use on me. Since it is a trial I would recommend maybe going out of your comfort zone and if it too much you can always have another trial 9r maybe a different artist even.
