Makeup - natural look

Laura, on June 17, 2020 at 11:00 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 2

Hey everyone! I'm going to be doing my own hair and makeup since I can't guarantee that anywhere will still be open. So, are we doing metallic shadow or matte? Any specific advice for women with hooded eyes - I've watched some YouTube videos. My wedding will be at 5:30. so hopefully we'll get that evening glow. But I don't think that glam fits. My dress is true white - advice welcome!

I've heard that matte is best because it absorbs light and will make your eyes look more open. Then use shimmery highlighters right under your brows and even a small highlight in the middle of your lower lid right above your lash line!

I'm also no makeup guru - although I'm getting better on myself with lots of practice and youtube tutorials! Smiley laugh

Photographers advise against anything that can shimmer, this goes for foundation too, so avoid mineral foundation, bronzer, shadow, blush, etc. Even gloss can be a hassle with photo editing. As for hooded eyes, it was suggested to me to bring the color to the brow bone rather than just applying to the skin directly covering the eye.
