Makeup Trial Cost

#YouHadMeAtRai, on January 11, 2018 at 7:16 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 26
Hey ladies! Just wanted to find out about how much are trials running for makeup? I have a makeup lady charging $130 for 1 hour of only a makeup trial. Found that to be a bit on the higher side compared to another lady charging $100 for 2 hours with 2 looks of both Hair and makeup?!

My trial is going to cost me $225 for hair and makeup, and we can do several looks up to 4 hours. The HMUA charges $125 for either hair or makeup up to 2 hours.

I’d go for the person giving more time and services, but that also depends on her portfolio and apparent level of skill.

This can vary based on the artist and the location. My MUA charged $250 for a trial. I don't remember if she limited it to 1 hour but it only took her about 45 minutes.

When I searched for a MUA some of the prices for the trials at salons would be high, around $125 to $250 for one hour, one look. I found a MUA on Instagram and paid $75.

My trial is going to cost me $85 for an hour. My recommendation would be to go with the one that has the best portfolio- I've had a bad make up job before when I went with a cheaper option- awful choice!

My makeup trail was 100 and it includes full makeup services plus eye lashes an airbrush foundation and she didn’t give me a starting time or ending time she came to my house as well and it took over an hour because we chatty a bit but I loved her work , she also gave me a deal I told her I have 7 bridesmaids and she said she would charge them each 75 for full makeup and lashes but that’s up to my bridesmaids if they want those services I live in the New York area and almost all makeup Artisit charge around 75-500 so I got lucky I found her

Mine was 150 + tip for the trial and included lashes. We didn't discuss length of time or how many looks I can try out but she told me to let her know if I wanted to change anything. Overall, the whole thing took about two hours.

My Makeup trial is $62 and that includes airbrush makeup and false eyelashes so I can see exactly how I’ll look on the day of. That $62 is part of the overall total of $165 so I’ll owe just over $100 on the day of. My hair is $95 and that includes the trial run.

Thanks I would have have to additional for day of services the trial fee of $130 is just trial purposes so good yours is a part of day off fee as well! Living in a Florida and finding people in Massachusetts is a bit hard with back and forth flying just to get these things done

It depends on your area. I had two trials with 2 different MUA (didn't like the first one). The first charged $90 and the second charged $60, lashes would have added $15 to both prices. I am in the Boston area.

It is going to vary MUA to MUA.

My MUA charges 90 for my trail and the hair side is 35.

My hair and makeup trials are $75 each and my appointment for the two combined is an hour and a half long. I want a relatively simple hairstyle, but would like to play around and see how it looks styled differently if there is time.

Mine is 65 for hair, and 75 for airbrush make up! 140 for hair and make up. 65 for all my girls, and I am paying to get their hair done. They are traveling to me, and waiving a travel fee because it is close to their salon. There's 7 if I count my mom. Also my trial is the same of day of, but I put a deposit down and that gets taken off at the end.
