Makeup trial disaster

Ahhh I was super discouraged after both my makeup trials. My hair was fine lol I could never do my own, but I wasnt cool with it. I kept her because she was my husbands old roommate and a friend and it was nothing against her (the way i felt). The trial makeup was super heavy. I felt like I was wasting a mask haha. I decided I didnt want the stress of doing my own makeup for my wedding though and had her do it. We worked it out that I'd do my own brows and eyeliner...those were the two things I felt comfortable doing on my own. Om happy I did that....the wedding day makeup came out great. I know what you mean though. Typically wedding makeup is super heavy for the photos

Yes, I love this!! I'm so glad you decided to do your own makeup, I felt SO much better once I made that decision. It's important to me and FH that I look like myself and more importantly, feel like myself! You look beautiful in both photos, but I can really see your natural beauty on the left. Glad you've figured out what works best for you!

The photo on the left > the photo on the right. You look like 2 different people. Your own makeup style enhances your natural look. Kudos to you!

I'm also doing my own make-up. I just couldn't see spending that kind of money for someone to make me look how they thought I should. I spent money on trying different products, but even if I don't use them for the wedding, I'll still get my money's worth. It's a lot cheaper than a professional! Good for you!

I am completely challenged when it comes to doing my own makeup!! Your photos look SO different!! I agree, I love how you did your makeup! The artist made you look washed out and your face look full..

I'm thinking of doing my own makeup too! Good thing I saw your post and realize I'm not so crazy for considering it! Like you, I'm very afraid of too much makeup making me look like a different person.

The left pic looks definitely better. I believe wedding day is when you should feel most comfortable and beautiful in your own skins. Please update us with some photos after the wedding!

I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting to do my own make-up! My FMIL's best friends son is doing my hair.. although I had my very first hair trial with him last Thursday and YIKES... I cried on my way home. BUT he did say it's not at all how it'll look like, he just wanted to see what products and how much of those products he'll have to use on my hair. Soooo I get it I guess? Going back to him again this Thursday and he's doing it exactly how he would on my wedding day. Fingers crossed!!
